City Hall, Community Center, DPW, Lake Front Park CLOSED Today. July 16, 2026

Due to hazardous air quality caused by Canadian wildfire smoke, the City of Grosse Pointe Woods has closed Lake Front Park — including the pool, marina, and Activities Building — and the Department of Public Works office for today, Thursday, July 16.

City Hall offices and the Community Center will close at Noon today. Public Safety is open 24/7.

Residents are encouraged to stay indoors, avoid unnecessary travel, and limit outdoor activity until air quality improves. If you must go outside, keep your time outdoors as brief as possible.
