Junior Swim Instructor Program

The City of Grosse Pointe Woods Parks and Recreation Department is looking for student volunteers ages 11 and older to join the Junior Instructor Program at the Lake Front Park Aquatic Facility.

As a part of the Junior Instructor Program participants will:

  • Assist swim instructors
  • Help staff provide a fun, safe environment for swim lesson participants
  • Develop leadership skills
  • Be a role model to younger children
  • Make new friends

 

WHERE: Lake Front Park Aquatic Facility

WHEN:
Session 1: June 17 - July 3, Mondays & Wednesdays OR Tuesdays & *Thursdays, 9:15 a.m. - 12 p.m. (*no classes July 4, rescheduled to June 28)

Session 2: July 15 - August 1, Mondays & Wednesdays OR Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:15 a.m. - 12 p.m. 

There will be a parent and Junior Instructor on Monday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pool Bathhouse Lobby.
