Lake Front Park Tennis & Pickleball Program

Tennis & Pickleball Programs

Tennis and Pickleball Lessons at the Lake Front Park!

Tennis and pickleball lessons are returning to Lake Front Park for 2024! Head tennis instructor Laura Digan and head pickleball instructor Ruben Ascencio are back for their thirdyear running the Lake Front Park tennis and pickleball lessons.

Youth Tennis has been an integral part of the Lake Front Park Tennis Program. Over the past two years, just under one hundred Grosse Pointe Woods children between the ages of 5 and 12 have participated in the program. Instructor, Laura Digan strongly encourages parents to keep their children involved for all the great benefits of tennis, such as, after school physical exercise, improving and learning on court skills, making new friends and having fun. The youth tennis program provides an enjoyable learning and social environment for everyone.

Tennis lessons are offered to various age groups and all levels of players from beginner through advanced. The program goal is to provide an organized recreational and social environment while encouraging students to play tennis with good sportsmanship.

Pickleball has been very popular sport throughout the USA. If you are interested in learning how to play in this fast growing family minded sport, we encourage you to sign up for our two week introduction class. Consider it a great way to exercise, make friends and learn this exciting new game. Two pickleball instructors will teach how to hit the ball properly, and understand the scoring and rules of the game.
