Senior Lunch and a Movie

The afternoon includes a catered lunch, dessert, beverages, and a movie. Pre-registration is required and the cost is $11.00 for residents. Please pre-register at the GPW Community Center at least one full week before the event. For more information, call (313) 343-2408. Detailed fliers about the menu and the movie are available at the Community Center.

(As of April 1, 2023, lunch and movie prices will increase to $13 for residents and $15 for non-residents, due to increasing food prices.)

Afternoon Games

Join your friends at the Community Center for a pleasant afternoon round of games on Thursdays from noon – 4:00 p.m. Various groups gather to play:

  • Cards
  • Chess
  • Mahjong

At least one resident must sponsor your foursome. If space becomes limited, residents will have priority.

Knit for a Bit

It’s hip to knit – or crochet – and it’s even more fun doing it with a group. If needlework is your passion, drop in on the new group forming at the GPW Community Center. The informal “knit-togethers” meet every Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
