Mack and Vernier
(The southeast corner, where the Parcells bulletin board is located).Teenagers Bill Schmidt and Don Fisher were the owners of this depression era enterprise. Their friends, including Bruce Bockstanz and Lester Dallas, were the curbside salesman. They would deliver "Freshly Popped Popcorn" and "Good Humors" directly to the car windows.

On the left, beyond the stop sign and the trees, are buildings of the Bakeman Farm. The farm was on the northeast corner. It survived as an active farm until the 1950's.

The houses beyond the wagon are on Anita. Anita and Brys Drive were the first streets in the Village to have more than a scattering of homes. At this time (mid 1930's) Hollywood had four houses, Hawthorne two and Hampton none. Mack Avenue had not yet become a divided highway.
