The 2025 Fishing Derby - Saturday, August 3

Presented by the City of Grosse Pointe Woods Citizens' Recreation Commission

Join us for the 2025 Fishing Derby, where young anglers (ages 16 and under) can show off their fishing skills and compete for awesome trophies! 

Lake Front Park - Saturday, August 2

Two fishing sessions will be available:

• 8 - 9:30 am
• 10:30 am - 12 pm

Trophies will be awarded in three age groups for:

• Biggest Fish
• Most Fish

Each participant should bring:

• A fishing pole
• Preferred tackle and bait*

*A limited supply of worms will be available at the event.

Register online or at the Community Center

• Open to participants 16 years old and under
• Fee: $5 per participant
• Each participant will receive a goody bag and a commemorative souvenir
