Wayne County - Mack Avenue Resurfacing Project

Wayne County has announced that Mack Avenue from Cook Road to Base Line/Eight Mile Road will undergo resurfacing and repairs beginning Monday, August 10, with substantial completion expected in late Fall 2026, weather permitting.

During construction, expect lane closures, traffic delays, and intermittent access restrictions. Property access and emergency vehicle access will be maintained, though brief interruptions may occur.

Residents/property owners should:

• Mark sprinkler systems and other private underground utilities by August 10 to avoid damage. Unmarked systems damaged during construction will not be replaced.

• Be aware that unauthorized items within the road right-of-way (such as pavement extensions, boulders, or gravel) may be removed and replaced with sod.
